MNP Auctioneers was engaged by Asian Heritage Museum (AHM) to conduct a global live and online bidding event for Guangdong BaoBao Cultural Musesum Co Ltd. The event was extremely successful and a total of RM119 million worth of artefacts from China went under the hammer. Of the total of 542 pieces of artefacts put up for auctions, 132 pieces were successfully sold by hammer. AHM chief executive officer K.K. Tan said this was a major breakthrough not just for Malaysia but also for Asean as the total auction sale was a record for Asian artefacts. MNP Auctioneers chief executive officer Stephen Soon was the auctioneer and he said that the auction was powered by Best2Bid.com which allows for dual-bidding to be conducted at the same time.
